Driver Charged for Driving with Large Parrot in his Vehicle

The Perth County OPP says it received an unusual call claiming a person saw a large bird flying inside of a vehicle while driving.

Officers were able to catch up with the vehicle in Perth East on County Road 119 on Thursday afternoon.

Police charged the driver under the Highway Traffic Act when officer realized the driver had a large parrot on his shoulder.

While the incident wasn’t serious, the OPP says it’s always a good idea to report anything suspicious.
