Perth County Alzheimer Society Reports Jump in Referrals to Stratford

Referrals to the Perth County Alzheimer Society continue to grow, increasing by as much as 50 per cent over the last year.

That’s according to the society’s Education Coordinator, Sheri Gilhula.

She says the goal for the society is to make Stratford and Perth County a dementia-friendly community.

The organization recently held a number of information sessions in the last quarter of 2017, all well-attended.

Gilhula made the presentation to council last night, noting the support from the city and community organizations have gone a long way in terms of fundraising and awareness.
