Pettapiece: Keeping Hillside Manor Open is Part of a Much Larger Problem

Randy Pettapiece says the obstacles Perth County faced to keep Hillside Manor open are part of a much larger problem.

The Perth-Wellington MPP spoke with county councillors this morning on the important of pushing the agenda of rural communities and their needs when it comes to long-term care.

The province announced it’s adding 5,000 long-term care beds over the next four years across Ontario and Pettapiece says rural Ontario needs to make sure it sees its share.

He says peopleCare in Stratford has recently submitted its application to redevelop, a plan which will help with those needs locally.
