Pettapiece Talking Long-Term Care in Queen’s Park

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece has raised concerns in Queen’s Park over future long-term care needs.

Pettapiece says the province hasn’t met its decade-old commitment to redevelop long-term care beds as of yet.

He says the calculations used to determine how many beds are needed in each area is flawed, with two homes in Perth County currently applying to redevelop.

Pettapiece made the same case to Perth County council two weeks ago, stating the near-closure of Hillside Manor is part of a much larger problem all of Ontario faces.
