Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Man Wanted in Canada-Wide Warrant

Stratford Police say the Canada Border Services Agency has been contacted due to a recent incident of speeding.

Acting Deputy Chief of Police Sam Theocharis says officers pulled over a SUV for speeding on Erie Street on Thursday morning.

He says the 31-year-old driver had only a G2 license and was found to be wanted on a Canada-wide immigration warrant dating back to March of last year.

Stratford Police are holding the accused for the CBSA.
