CUPW Asking Perth County for Support in Restoring Home Mail Delivery

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers is looking for support from Perth County Council in restoring home mail service.

Region Coordinator Derek Richmond appeared before council yesterday to discuss the restoration of lost services.

Before the government put an indefinite hold on the transition from home deliver to community mailboxes, 830,000 addresses across 600 municipalities in Canada were affected.

Those include the City of Stratford and parts of Listowel.

Richmond has asked council to consider sending a letter of support to the ministry in restoring home mail service.
