Resolution on the Horizon for Local Man Held on Drug Charges

A Stratford man who’s been held in custody since late last year on drug-trafficking charges may be headed towards a resolution.  A report in the Beacon said that David Sullivan’s defense lawyer and a prosecutor confirmed on Monday that there has been “ongoing discussions” on the matter, with Crown attorney Denis Harrison.  Police said that the 43 year old Sullivan, and another woman were arrested in late November after an investigation following a traffic stop in Perth East, which resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine and marijuana.   Police also found said more meth, marijuana and other drugs from a Huron East property through a search warrant. The combined estimated street value of both seizures was $52,000, police said.  Sullivan is currently facing a total of seven charges. Charges against the woman were later dropped.
