6 Year Old Girl Struck by Vehicle

OPP say charges may be pending after a six-year-old girl was struck and injured by a car after she got off a school bus outside of Drayton on Wednesday.  The child suffered moderate, non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a sedan as she crossed a highway.  The girl was taken to hospital and her parents were notified.

The OPP say investigators are looking at many elements of the collision, including the operation of the bus’s warning light system.
