Possible paving scam in Perth County

The Perth County OPP is warning residents about a possible paving scam.

Police say they got a report Saturday from a West Perth resident.

A man had approached the resident saying he worked for a paving company that had some surplus asphalt.

He offered to pave the man’s driveway for $2,500, but the resident had to decide within an hour.

The resident wasn’t fooled and got in touch with the police.

Police say you should always get multiple quotes for any home projects and always check the credibility of the company selling you a product or service.

As always you should report any suspicious person or activity to the police immediately.
