Canada Road Safety Week

The Perth County OPP will be out in force this coming long weekend.

They will target the usual; speeding, drunk and distracted driving.

However, police will also crack down on Off-Road-Vehicles and motorcycles.

Off road vehicle casualties are at a four year high while motorcycle casualties are also on the rise.

Police attribute this to alcohol and not wearing a helmet.

To prevent this from happening during the Victoria Day weekend, the OPP will also be aggressively patrolling for off road vehicles like ATVs and ensuring they are being used safely.
