Stratford police Det. Const. Jeff McGregor has been nominated for the 2018 Police Services Hero of the Year Award. The provincial award was created as a way to give the public an opportunity to recognize officers that go above and beyond their duty and improve the lives of people in the community.  McGregor, has been with Stratford Police since 2012 and was nominated by a victim in a human-trafficking case that started over three years ago and recently led to the conviction of three men. The victim was a teenage girl at the time and was lured on social media and forced into a prostitution ring.Winners of the award will be announced at the Police Association of Ontario’s annual general meeting, which will take place in London during the week of May 7.
