Optimist Club Busy Despite Closing Doors to Hall

The optimist Club of Stratford recently closed the doors of its hall at the corner of Water St and Morenz drive.  Negotiations with the Stratford Festival for the past few months ended with the agreement of the sale of its property as part of the redevelopment of the Tom Patterson Theatre.    The Optimist Club of Stratford had been in that building since the 1940s.  As the Optimists say farewell to their home, they also look forward to the new challenges and projects to help youth in the community.  One challenge is to find new and younger members who can pick up the torch and assist with all the projects going on in the community and keep the club thriving in the future.  The Optimist club will be hosting the annual Fishing Derby in a few weeks and the Bike Rodeo next month.
