The theft of a hockey stick placed in front of a Woodstock business to honour those impacted by the deadly bus crash in Saskatchewan involving the Humboldt Broncos has lead to charges being laid.
Police say a business on Dundas Street had the stick out in front Thursday afternoon when a 29-year-old man was seen walking by around 1:00 p.m..
The say surveillance footage caught him going into the front vestibule and then stealing the stick.
The man is known to police and he was found around 8:30 p.m. Thursday and arrested.
He faces charges including theft and has a court appearance scheduled for May 8th.
