National Canadian Film Day event in Stratford Wednesday

Here’s your chance to celebrate National Canadian Film Day by checking out two movies for free.

To mark the occasion, which is Wednesday, film and television actor and a Stratford resident as well, Steve Belford, has organized an event at Stratford Cinemas where those who go can watch two movies, one short and one full length, for free.

Belford stars in the short film that’s showing, Before the Day, and he says both movies that are playing share a similar idea.

“It’s how our relationships and those closest to us can help us through the tough times in life.”

Belford says he’s also using this event to see if there’s support and interest in a film festival being held in Stratford next year, Wednesday night’s event starts at 7:00 p.m..
