Maintenance work being done for breaker protection at the power station in Stratfords west end is believed to have caused the lights to go out briefly.
Festival Hydro says that the outage Thursday morning impacted around four-thousand customers in the area south of Lorne Avenue and in the west end.
They say the work being done doesn’t normally cause outages but in this case it’s believed it did, with traffic signals even knocked off line.
The power was restored around 17 minutes after it went off.
Festival Hydro says if you’re lights are still out in that area you should contact them.
