Gertrude “Gertie” (Jonas) Fischer age 94 passed away peacefully at People Care (Stratford) on Monday May 12, 2014. Born in Wilberforce Township daughter of the late William and Johanna (Papke) Jonas. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Fischer whom she married on May 4, 1940 and predeceased her on August 30, 1992. Loving mother of Barbie Osborn and son-in-law Murray Currah. Loving Grandmother of Jeff (Debbie), Perry (Carmen), Krista (Greg), Mark (Michelle), Darcy (Shelley), Lisa (Mark), Dwain (Andrea) and 11Great Grandchildren. Loving sister of Herta Baulk and sister-in-law Kay and brother-in-law Ron (Joyce). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Gertrude was predeceased by daughters Sharon Gerber (2006), Sandy Currah (2008) and son-in-law Garry Osborn (2006). Predeceased by her siblings Agnes, Lorne, Erna, Wilbert, Leonard, Eleanor, Garnet and brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Mary, Clarence, Roy and Art. Friends and relatives may call at the W. g.
