Possible name changes for two Stratford schools

Two schools in Stratford could be getting name changes.

Since the Grade 7-12 model was implemented in Avon Maitland secondary schools officials have focused on creating a “one-school culture”.

With that in mind the word “secondary” has already informally been dropped from Northwestern and Central Schools.

The name change would also help facilitate moving student records to a single database.

At last night’s meeting the board agreed to take a community survey to see if students, staff and parents are in agreement with the change.
