Perth District Health Unit searching for dog involved in biting incident in St. Marys

The Perth District Health Unit is trying to find a dog involved in a biting incident in St.Marys.

They say it happened around 6:30 Tuesday night at the soccer field behind Little Falls Public School when the dog who’s described as small with short grey and white hair and pointed ears bit a person.

The Health Unit is investigating the case to see if the dog has up-to-date rabies shots, and if not found, the person who was bitten may need to complete a series of rabies shots.

Officials say you should always get the contact information of the owners of animals involved in biting incidents.

If you know anything about the dog you’re asked to contact the Perth District Health Unit.
