Perth-Wellington Provincial Liberal Association nominates candidate for Ontario election

Throw another hat into the ring when it comes to the provincial election in the Perth-Wellington riding.

The Perth-Wellington Provincial Liberal Association held a meeting Tuesday night where Brendan Knight was nominated to be their candidate in the June 7th election.

Knight is a Sebringville native and graduated from the University of Waterloo, he lives in Stratford with his family and works for Canada Post.

Knight says he decided to enter politics because he wants to ensure a high quality of life for the area.

“It’s for my family and the community and all the things that they need including education and health care and building those up.”

Knight joins a race that includes incumbent Perth-Wellington PC MPP Randy Pettapiece, NDP candidate Michael O’Brien, Green Party candidate Lisa Olsen and Libertarian Party candidate Scott Marshall.
