Warrior’s Captain Named Ontario Hockey Association Junior B Player of the Year

One of the Stratford Warriors own has been named the Junior B Player of the Year in the Ontario Hockey Association.

Team Captain Jack Scanlan claimed the honor finishing with 30 goals and 60 assists for 90 points to lead the GOJHL Midwestern Conference in points and have his best offensive season.

This was the forward’s last season with the Warriors and he served as captain the past two seasons while also leading the team in points each year.

He has an impressive hardware collection after this past season including being named the GOJHL’s Midwestern Conference Most Valuable Player and being named a 2018 GOJHL Midwestern Conference First Team All-Star.

Scanlan says he loved playing for the Warrior’s and being a part of the Stratford community.

“Having all those wonderful fans come out in Stratford to watch us play every night is something that I’m going to miss forever but I’m over the moon that I got to be a part of something like that, it was my home away from home.”

Scanlan also made many contributions to Stratford including volunteering with the Stratford Boys and Girls Club and Salvation Army Kettle Program.
