Green light given for expansion at Tradition Mutual Centre for Wellness in St.Marys

A major expansion project has been given the green light in St.Marys.

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance sent out a release Friday morning confirming that the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care has given official approval to award the construction contract for the project at the Tradition Mutual Centre for Wellness.

They say the $2.9 million, two-storey, 7,433 square foot expansion will create additional space for the Happy Valley Family Health Team plus a teaching space for medical residents and two additional spaces that will be available to lease.

The expansion is being funded by the community through the St.Marys Memorial Hospital Foundation and their “Someone I Know” capital vampaign.

The 12 month construction project will be done by K+L Construction Limited from London and is expected to start in June.
