Sebringville business donates $150 thousand to Stratford Hospice

A Sebringville company is stepping up to help the community.

The Stratford Perth Rotary Hospice says Tradition Mutual Insurance has donated $150 thousand to its ‘Because You Care Campaign’ to help build its location beside Greenwood Court.

The Hospice says the funding is designated towards the naming rights of the entrance reception area which they say will be staffed by volunteers who will be the caring, compassionate face greeting those who come through its doors.

According to the hospice, the ‘Because You Care’ fundraising campaign is raising capital to build the hospice, equip it and fund the operating gap which is the difference between what the province contributes towards nursing costs and the actual operating costs.

Ground-breaking for the hospice is anticipated for June with an expected opening date of March 2019
