Homeless Enumeration taking place this week in Stratford area

Gaining a better understanding of homelessness in our communities.

That’s the idea behind a homeless enumeration taking place this week and being held by the City of Stratford’s Social Services Department along with the Stratford, Perth County and St. Marys Alliance to Prevent Homelessness and Enhance Housing Solutions.

It’s taking place from Tuesday to Friday and will see staff at various locations around Stratford, St.Marys, Listowel and Mitchell conducting a 20-minute survey with individuals experiencing homelessness.

They say the findings of the enumeration will be used to enhance or develop programs and services that support and assist those experiencing homelessness locally.

The preliminary results are expected to be shared with the community in early June.
