Unsettled weather in store for Victoria Day long weekend

It’s shaping up to be an unsettled long weekend weather wise.

The forecast from Environment Canada is calling for cloudy skies both Saturday and Sunday with a slight chance of rain each day and seasonal highs of around 20 degrees.

While you should keep an umbrella handy just in case, you shouldn’t worry about cancelling any plans you have to head outdoors just yet.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Gerald Chang says the rain could be sporadic.

“Showers by nature are very hit and miss, not everybody is going to get a shower and it might happen in a few people’s back yards and it may not in other people’s back yards, so it really depends and it may be very isolated.”

Chang adds that Monday is looking like the nicest day of the long weekend with sunny skies and a high of 20.
