Warm weather expected to stick around for the near future

Is it hot enough for you?

Don’t be surprised if you hear that question being asked around the area over the next few days as the warm weather that we’ve seen lately continues.

Monday’s high was expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius but feel more like 36 with the humidex and it’s not expected to get much cooler with the high Tuesday expected to hit 28 followed by a high of 27 on Wednesday, according to Environment Canada.

Environment Canada Meteorologist Gerald Cheng says the temperatures are much higher than they normally are at this time of the year.

“It should be around the low twenties, twenty-one or twenty-two degrees, so when we’re forecasting thirty-one it’s almost ten degrees above that.”

It’s expected to be a bit cooler come Thursday when the forecast high is 24 but the weather is expected to stay warm for the next two weeks.
