Woodstock police investigating after lockdown at school

An investigation continues after a lockdown at a Woodstock school.

Police say they were called to College Avenue Secondary School around 12:45 Monday afternoon after the school was put into a lockdown.

Staff told police they had received information that two youths, who weren’t CASS students, were in the school.

The school was locked down for 50 minutes while police searched it.

They say the lockdown was lifted around 1:30 p.m. once they confirmed there was no threat to student safety.
