We saw more voters take part in the Ontario election in our riding this time around compared to last.

Elections Ontario says unofficial numbers show 62.11 per cent of eligible voters cast a ballot in Thursday’s provincial election.

That’s compared to the 55.7 per cent who took part in 2014.

Province wide, Elections Ontario says it was the highest voter turnout since 1999 with 58 per cent of eligible voters joining in.
