Three more members to be inducted into Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in St.Marys

St.Marys will be the place to be this weekend for baseball fans.

Three more members are being inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame with a ceremony taking place Saturday afternoon at the Hall of Fame grounds followed by an after party that night.

Former Montreal Expos pitcher Pedro Martinez, former Toronto Blue Jays centre fielder Lloyd Moseby and historian Will Hunter are this years inductees.

Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum Director of Operations Scott Crawford says all three are well deserving of the honor.

“It’s going to be a great class with Lloyd Moseby the old Blue Jays centre fielder, Pedro Martinez who pitched for the Montreal Expos for four years and he’s the first Expo to win the Cy Young Award and of course our top Canadian baseball historian Bill Hunter is getting in as well so it’s a great mix.”

Crawford adds that each of the three has had a tremendous influence on baseball in Canada.

The Hall of Fame ceremony is free to attend.
