Road Safety Committee launching “D.O.N.T” distracted driving campaign

The Road Safety Committee Perth is launching a distracted driving campaign.

It’s aimed at getting the message out about just how dangerous distracted driving is.

The Perth District Health Unit says texting drivers are 23 times more likely to be in a crash.

Distracted driving isn’t just texting however, it includes a long list of activities such as eating, drinking and grooming.

The multimedia campaign, called Drive Only Never Text, runs until December.

The committee is made up of the PDHU, the OPP, the Stratford Police, and the Brain Injury Association of London & Region.
