It could soon be easier to find a parking spot around downtown Stratford.
Work that was planned last year to add 50 parking spots at the Cooper Site is expected to take place over the next few months.
The funding for the project, pegged at around $100 thousand, was given the green light last year but the work was put on hold as the conversation over changing the site into a community hub went on.
The work is expected to begin in August and be finished off in September but a tender to carry the project out still needs to be awarded.
The spots will be located near the former CNR shops building on the site’s upper deck and will bring the total number of spots in the lot to 300.
