Two area high schools to receive upgrades over the summer

Two area high schools will look a bit different after the summer.

The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board voted at their meeting Monday afternoon to award the tender for washroom upgrades and minor alterations for St. Michael’s Catholic Secondary School in Stratford for $560 thousand to Elgin Contracting and Restoration Limited.

The tender price includes work also being done in Clinton at St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School.

Work to be done includes the constriction of a universal washroom at each school and upgrades to the boys and girls change rooms at each school.

The majority of the funding for the work is being drawn from Community Hub capital funding.
