PDHU reminding smokers about Stratford’s outdoor smoking bylaw

Now that the nicer weather is here the Perth District Health Unit is reminding everyone about Stratford’s outdoor smoke-free bylaw.

Last September city council amended the law to ban smoking nine metres from all municipal building entrances, at bus shelters, on playgrounds and at sports fields.

It also prohibits smoking on the entire Stratford General Hospital grounds.

Signs will be installed in various locations around the city to ensure everyone is aware of the bylaw.
