Our area is standing out above the rest when it comes to the unemployment rate.
According to a release from the Four County Labour Market Planning Board, the unemployment rate for the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region fell by 0.3 percentage points to 3 per cent in June, the lowest in the province.
They say that in June 800 fewer people looked for work but employment was little changed as full-time increases were offset by part-time declines.
Provincially, the unemployment rate was unchanged at 5.8 per cent
