Man dies in collision in Mapleton

A Palmerston man is dead and three other people injured after a crash between Arthur and Teviotdale.

Police say the crash between two pickup tucks happened around 8 o’clock Wednesday morning at the intersection of Concession 16 and Sideroad 15 in Mapleton.

They say the 43-year-old Palmerston man was alone in one truck while there were three people in the other, with its two passengers airlifted to hospital.

The 21-year-old driver of that vehicle from Listowel, was also hurt and faces charges including one count of drug impaired driving causing death and two counts of drug impaired driving causing bodily harm.

The names of the people involved haven’t been released.
