A tulip tree is being use to recognize the 50th anniversary of Stratford Art in the Park.

The city says the tree was recently planted in the green space on Lakeside Drive between Front and North Streets.

They say over the years local member artists have also helped to plant more than a dozen trees in that space.

Stratford Art in the Park is held, weather permitting, on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday’s from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

It runs from May until October.
