A 27-year-old man faces charges after Stratford Police found him with a handgun.
Police say in a release that the man was arrested around 12:30 Friday morning for possession of a controlled substance.
According to police, he was walking alongside the road in the northwest part of the city at the time he was stopped.
They say he was searched and a loaded .22 calibre handgun was found in a bag he was carrying.
He was charged with several weapon and drug offences and was held for a bail hearing.
