Perth South is going Hollywood.
A church set has been constructed in the township that will be used in the making of the film “In The Tall Grass” which is based on a novella written by horror author Stephen King and his son Joe Hill.
Netflix has picked up the movie rights for the film and it’s expected to be filmed primarily in Toronto with some shots at the church in Perth South.
James Marsden is starring in it.
South Perth Councillor Stuart Arkett says lots of people have been driving by to view the set.
“If we had known how many people were going to come by and look at this whole thing we would have set up a toll booth on the road but it’s pretty cool to see how it’s coming about.”
Road 122 is closed at Perth County Line 16 in the area.
Filming started Monday.
