We are learning more details about a serious assault in Ingersoll.
Police say around 12:30 last Sunday morning they responded to a disturbance call on Union Street near Bell Street.
They say they arrived and found a man in medical distress and he was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, he is now out of the hospital.
According to police, their investigation revealed the man had been stabbed several times during an assault and that the victim and suspect were known to each other.
An 18-year-old man from Ingersoll was arrested at the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault.
He was released and has a court date in Woodstock scheduled for September 4th.
