Two people face drug and weapons charges after traffic stop in Stratford

Two people face numerous drug and weapons charges after a vehicle was stopped in Stratford.

Stratford Police say their Street Crime Unit stopped a vehicle last Tuesday in relation to a drug investigation.

They say as a result, a male driver and a female passenger were arrested with $800 dollars worth of meth seized from the driver.

According to police, a modified sawed off 22 calibre rifle was found beside the driver’s seat and a loaded 556 calibre rifle was found in the back seat with a magazine containing three rounds.

The man was held for a bail hearing and the woman was released on a promise to appear in court.
