Freda Wood, age 86, of Clinton and formerly of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Huronview Nursing Home in Clinton. Born in Dobbington, Ontario, daughter of the late Duncan and Edna (Patchell) Currie. Survived by her loving son Ron and his wife Pat of Clinton. Grandmother of Leanne (Mark) Montgomery, Rob Wood (Lisa Petersen) and Sara Wood. Great-grandmother of 10 great-grandchildren. Freda is survived by her sisters Doris Thompson and Ruth Flewelling.  She was an employee of Canadian Fab and Fram Canada before her retirement. She volunteered many hours for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #8 (Stratford) and received her 65 Year Member pin. Besides her husband Edgar Walter Wood (2004), Freda was predeceased by her grandson Tim Wood and great-grandson Ryan Wood (2012) and her two brothers-in-law John Thompson and Jack Flewelling. Cremation has taken place. A public graveside service will be held on at Avondale Cemetery, 4 Avondale Ave on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.(Please meet inside the cemetery gates at 10:45 a.m.) A celebration of Freda’s life will follow at the W.
