Police in Kitchener say one woman is dead and a man has been airlifted to hospital after a house exploded.
The blast reportedly happened this morning on a residential street in the Forest Heights neighborhood around 9:00 a.m.
Investigators say gas, water and power will be shut off in the area for a “lengthy amount” of time.
Fire officials say three neighbouring homes were affected by the explosion and so far there is no word on the cause.
CTV News had reported earlier that an ORNGE Air Ambulance spokesman had told them that there were 10 people inside the home, however, police now say that air ambulance was not on scene and that report was false.
