Local MP Stands up for Local Farmers

The MP for Perth-Wellington says the Canadian Government must defend farmers and farm families in the country.
John Nater made the comment in a tweet he sent out on Friday after several days of discussions between Canadian representatives and their United States counterparts over a new North American Free Trade Agreement.
Nater says his office has received hundreds of emails regarding NAFTA and how a deal could affect Canadian agriculture and supply management.
He also thanked “every single constituent” who has voiced their concerns.
After taking the Labour Day long weekend off, talks between the two sides are expected to resume tomorrow (Wednesday) in Washington.
