Stratford Police continue to crack down on distracted drivers.
They say they conducted a safety blitz on distracted driving Thursday on Huron Street at the corners of Mornington Street and St.Vincent Street.
During the three hour initiative, police say 8 distracted driving charges were laid, 7 against drivers with cell phones and 1 against a driver with a tablet.
There was also one seat belt ticket issued.
Police are reminding drivers that a distracted driving conviction will cost you $490 dollars and add three demerit points to your driver’s license.
