It continues to be good news on the unemployment rate in our area.
The Four County Labour Market Planning Board says in August, the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region continued to hold the lowest unemployment rate in the province at 3.2 %.
They say that’s a .2 percentage point increase from the previous months rate of 3.0 %.
Provincially, the unemployment rate also rose .2 percentage points from 5.9 % to 6.1 %.
