A gas leak in Stratford lead to some evacuations but has now been contained.
Stratford Police tell the My Stratford Now Newsroom that the leak was near the corner of Daly Avenue and Birmingham Street and happened as maintenance work was being done in the area.
Stratford Fire Chief John Paradis says students at Stratford Central Secondary School were alerted about the leak so that they would avoid walking in the area.
There was never any evacuation put in place at the school but some nearby homes were briefly evacuated as a precaution.
Police say the leak has been contained and things are back to normal in the area.
