United Way Perth-Huron to announce campaign goal

The United Way Perth-Huron is setting the course for the future.

A kick-off lunch is being held Friday by the organization in Market Square in Stratford where they will announce the campaign goal for 2018-2019.

It costs $20 to attend the lunch which includes egg and back bacon on a bun, apple coleslaw, and chocolate milk, and along with announcing this years campaign goal they will also be announcing their three-year goal as well.

United Way Perth-Huron Executive Director Ryan Erb says they are hoping to build off last year’s successful campaign.

“We had a great year last year, we were up about 9 percent year-over-year, so we were able to help more organizations like the Emily Murphy Centre and others in the community so we’re excited about setting a new ambitious goal.”

The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
