A 39-year-old woman faces charges after Stratford Police say she stole mail and broke into a business.

They say around 6:30 Thursday morning, a resident noticed a female taking mail from local businesses.

Police say they found the female with mail from several different businesses and she was arrested for possession of stolen property.

During a search of the woman, according to police, she was found with a set of keys from a Wellington Street business and it was discovered she had broken into it.

They say several items were stolen from the business and the accused had left behind the slippers that she was wearing at the time of the break-in.
