Stratford and Perth County continue to be popular destinations for tourists

It appears Stratford and Perth County remain popular destinations for tourists.

The Stratford Tourism Alliance says last year they saw an increase of people who were coming to visit the area and who took in the various events that are based here.

It looks like that trend has continued, with officials saying, just this past weekend alone, they recorded over 1 thousand people who came and visited the two sites they have set up for the Stratford Studio Tour.

STA Marketing Manager Cathy Rehberg says lots of visitors are coming here from south of the border.

“It’s been very interesting with the strong U.S. dollar, you know people will arrive especially this time of year, and be surprised at the vibrancy and the activity that’s going on in our community.”

Rehberg adds that she doesn’t expect to see a decrease in visitors in the months ahead with plenty of events taking place throughout the fall and winter.
