A community parade is getting ready for another go around in Stratford.

This Saturday, the Stratford Lantern Parade, a procession of light, music, and entertainment is set to take place starting on Tom Patterson Island.

The parade is free to take part in and it ends up at Market Square for a celebration of light which includes a free movie.

Brendan McKenna is one of the organizers of the parade and says there’s a new aspect for this year’s event.

“The change this year is that the parade actually starts on Tom Patterson Island.”

The parade gets underway at 6:30 p.m. on Tom Patterson Island.
