Stratford Parade Of Lights This Sunday

Santa Claus is coming to town.

This year’s Parade of Lights in Stratford takes place this Sunday kicking off at 5 p.m. from the William Allman Arena and traveling up Morenz Drive/Nile Street to Ontario Street, then along Downie Street on the way to City Hall and Santa Claus will be riding along as the final float.

Starting at 4:15 p.m., free hot chocolate, hot dogs and donuts will be offered in front of City Hall, where carol singing will also take place.

Dave Lamb with the Stratford Kinsmen Club is one of the organizers of the parade and he says there will be lots of great floats to see.

“We cut it off at 50 and we’ve certainly got to 50, we have two marching bands, the Waterloo Shrine Oriental Band is joining us again and the Milverton Legion Band so we have marching bands, lots of noise and lots of fun for the kids.”

The gang from 107.1 Juice FM and 107.7 2Day FM will be taking part in the parade collecting donations for the CJCS Kiwanis Christmas Basket Fund.
